I guess I should quickly pen down everything that had happened when I was in the zoo lest my memories of them fade. Before entering, we were deliberating whether or not to buy ponchos for the rain. Fortunately enough, it did not even drizzle. Our first main attraction was these otters. They are such little cuties when they pawed their way to the rear of the enclosed area. They made creaking sounds like those little kids' shoes that squish when they walk. Proboscis monkeys are what we went to see next. They urinated behind the glass wall, in front of people. Yuck. We trekked, literally, for about one or two hours before settling our lunches at KFC. I was rather excited to see the cat country region. To my disappointment, the cheetahs were lazing on the ground. This is what they call nocturnal animals, huh. Most of the more ferocious animals were solitary. I actually saw the clawed marks on the glass panel. Unexpectedly, the most ravenous animal of the day was the monkeys. We heard one of them roared and then stomped on the planks.
A truly exhausting and tiring day. Reached home at 6pm.

This is a continuation from yesterday's post. Before watching "When in Rome", Xin Yi, Yi Hong and I went to Golden Mile to have our lunches. Yi Hong and I arrived at Lavender a little earlier than the arranged time. We waited for about half an hour for our dear Xin Yi. My stomach was growling as I yearned to eat the Thailand food. When we reached the stall in the mall, the place was already packed with people. We situated ourselves at a corner and started ordering our food. As usual, I had my chicken noodle and Tom Yam soup. The bowl of noodle was luscious as I added four spoonfuls of the spicy and sour sauce. The Tom Yam was piping hot and we waited for it to cool. We feel bloated after finishing the delicious treat. We took a bus to Bugis. The rain started to pour instantaneously. I was soaked wet from my bottom even with my umbrella. Crap.

I was ecstatic to receive my results on Tuesday. The grades turned out to be better than I expected. However, that day was also my first day working in Scarllet. It totally sucked. The sales assistant commanded me to mop and vacuum the floor. I mean what the hell, I don't do any household chores at home and you want me to help you clean up? Dream on. Anyway, the day ended after having stand in the shop doing nothing for more than ten hours. I am never going to step in that shop again.
24th March 2010, Wednesday After finishing my hasty lunch, I went out with Yi Hong to Changi Airport abruptly. Yes, we did everything unplanned. The trip to our destination took approximately an hour. There was a check-point before reaching the place. I think it was totally pointless as the policeman who came on board did not even check the back seats. He just stood there at the entrance and surveyed the whole area. What the hell. That was easy money to earn, I guess. When we finally reached, I suddenly had an urge to eat ice-cream. Earle Swensen's was our first stop. I had not been to Changi Airport for a period of time. I still prefer Terminal 3 over the others. Who doesn't? It is reputable for its cleanliness and a peaceful environment. Basically, I was envious of those people who could go overseas. I always wanted to be on a plane and take off to my ideal countries.
Exciting schedules ahead.

Beth is a successful curator in New York City, who is completely unlucky with love. She is married to her job and thinks that love is not a necessity in her life. One day, her sister decided to have an impulsive marriage in Rome. There, she met Nick who made a hilarious entrance into the church. After a misunderstanding, Beth mourned and complained drunkenly in the fountain of love filled with coins, thrown in by people hopeful for love. She picked five of those coins, oblivious to the fact that later all five of them would pursue her relentlessly. These men included, a feminine male model, street magician, painter, sausage magnate and last but not least, Nick. Through a series of events, Beth actually fell in love with Nick, but was afraid of the hurt she would inflict once she undid the love spell on him.
A comedic-romance film starring Kristen Bell and Josh Duhamel. The couple had absolute chemistry in the whole movie. Not forgetting the beautiful scenes in Rome shot by the camera. The last scene depicted a cathedral where the couple got married in. I like the intricate designs on the walls and also the sacred feel of the place.

I re-watched Phobia 2 : Backpackers. It was about a group of humans being fed with drugs and later turned into flesh-eating zombies. The story didn't specifically tell the audience why the hell those people were willing to take the drugs offered to them. It was plain stupidity. Anyway, a Japanese couple wanted to hitch a ride to Bangkok. They were finally picked up by a truck after several failed attempts. The plot was complicated when the driver decided to check the container of the truck. After some commotions, the zombies were raised. They appeared to be feral as they rushed the survivors. It was noted that humans have this foam substances in their bodies when the guy cut one of the corpse's chest. He plunged his hand into the chest and these foamy and bloody substances flowed out. Brave attempt though. The movie in general was not as gory as I expected. It was a disappointment compared to the Final Destination series.

In the mystical world of the wonderland, Alice finds herself in a conquest to slay the Jabberwocky. She denied the fact that she was "the Alice" the wondrous world was searching fratically for. The evil but funny red queen had ruled the Underland by stealing the crown from her sister, the white queen. Can Alice succeed in her responsibility or simply fail?
This movie really jerks my childhood memories of Alice in Wonderland. Tim Burton's version of it was indeed dark and well, interesting. I love the flimsy dresses Alice got to wear after she fell from the rabbit hole. They were so pretty and ostentatious. Did I mention I love Cheshire , the cat which can disappear in a wisp of smoke? He is so adorable with his big grin on his face. This movie is so not for kids. I don't understand why parents bring their child to watch it.

I am infuriated at the audience's choice. Why did they vote Alex Lambert out of the competition? He can sing. His only weakness: his stiffness while performing on stage. Lily Scott deserves to be in the top 12 instead of Katie Stevens. What is wrong with America?
I am watching Alice in Wonderland later. Will give my review after the movie. Should be entertaining though.

Celebrated Xin Yi's birthday yesterday. All of us were gathered in KBox for the joyous day. The main lead was late as usual but it was advantageous for us. We were able to request the attender to place the cake in the freezer. Ate and cut the cake at around 1pm. I think Xin Yi was a little surprised when we came back from the 'toilet' with a cake. After KBox, we went to KPool. All the K's in one day. I realized I was improving in my skills. Well, as the saying goes, practice makes perfect. Definitely a fulfilling day. There will be a zoo trip next Friday. Before that, I am watching Alice in Wonderland!

Bugis trip today. Collected Wan Tian's BB Cream. We didn't do much really. While on the train back home, Patrick Star and I decided to take photos. Wan Tian did not even want to make a cameo in our photo taking session. So well. Look I am sitting in the reserved seat and I am proud of it!
A picture says a thousand words.

The weekend is finally coming! I had been looking forward to it since Monday. Man, the long wait. Had been rotting at home. Life sucks. Nevertheless, next week will be exciting. Someone's birthday is here!

Exam is so over. I realized I had not blogged for a month.
Anyways, I finally caught Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. I spent most of the time staring at Logan Lerman. He is so irresistibly cute. There will be many more installments and I WILL watch them all. There are so many upcoming movies I want to watch. Not forgetting birthdays to celebrate. My pocket will soon grow a big hole.

A trip to IKEA really spurred me on to work harder for my future. Seeing the gorgeous showrooms, I vowed to excel in my studies(keeps my fingers cross). The first stop was lunch. We queued up with a trolley made up of three layers, to put our individual cutlery and plates. Although the prices of the food were a little exorbitant, I felt they were rather good. After our lunch, we headed off to our little photo taking session. Stuff toys were the first to catch our attention. Some of them looked, unusual. The path then led to our "main course", the showrooms. Along the way, we saw canvases on the wall that were meant to be hung in houses. We found our ideal home, the living room which is simple and had a touch of homely feel. I saw one bedroom which is painted in maroon and black. The room was indeed dark and perfect for my style. A mysterious ambiance was emitting once I stepped in the room. The tour in IKEA lasted for two to three hours. Want Tian bought a dark oak side table costing 15 bucks. She had to carry the disassembled parts home by herself.Next week, we planned to go Golden Mile again.
